HEY!
My name is Leonardo Miranda (Liaust), and I am 20 years old. I am an obsessively driven workaholic—surely unhealthily so—who writes about everything he can’t stop thinking about and has a habit of turning simple questions into excessively large projects.
Most of my interests orbit a very simple goal, or impetus: I try to become smarter, more capable, knowledgeable, creative, and original. Knowledge is interesting, but what truly gets me out of my seat is understanding and optimising my thinking and reasoning itself.
WHAT I WORK ON
I tend to focus on theoretical physics (particularly quantum foundations), coding, cognitive sciences (memory, visuospatial thinking, and the psychology of learning), and philosophy (especially continental philosophy).
WHY THE OBSERVATORY EXISTS?
I believe we should all cooperate in figuring out how to progress humanity. The minimum I can do is share what I am developing. Perhaps someone will identify with it, become interested in it, or—in the best-case scenario—argue against what I have written.
Yes, you heard that right. I want to be argued with. Individual and collective growth happen through argumentation and through later accepting that we were wrong.
